Many people wish that their purpose will somehow land on their laps and that God will support them through it. Without knowing our purpose, we really would not know how to make the most of our lives. Sadly, a lot of us wallow in self-doubt and fear because of ignorance of who we are and why we are here.

God says, my people perish for the lack of knowledge. – Hosea 4:6

As humans, we are always unfolding. Hence, it is impossible to retain the same shape. In life, we are either moving forward or going backward. If you do not find something to live for, life will “find” something for you. When you find your purpose, your spirit, body, and mind would be one and the same. You would have the feeling of being aligned – internally and externally.

Purpose is my favourite word! When you are off purpose, you struggle to get up every day. However, when you find meaning in your life and in your work, you will look forward to getting up every day. To find meaning in your life, start by asking yourself “What kind of person do I want to be?”

Look at the people you surround yourself with. If your friends are always complaining about everything and beefing other people at any given time, then you are hanging around with people who are not living on purpose. Take a good look at your tribe and observe whether they are pulling you down or lifting you up. To be a better version of yourself, you must take the time to carefully select your group of friends.

For the past 9 years, I have always wanted to help people discover and deploy their true selves. Although the DO part has changed several times over the years, the BE has been constant. And when I help others discover and BE their true selves, I am in my element.

Here is a great Maya Angelou quote:

“I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

If you feel unhappy with your life, the only way you can change that situation is by taking a chance and deciding on a different path than the one you are currently on. Focus on finding a mission for your life. That mission will drive you to be more and do more, so you can contribute to the world.

Work on being intentional with your life daily.
