Read This If You Want to Achieve Your Dreams Faster

Do you believe that your dreams are impossible to achieve?

Your dreams are central to your existence, so the fact of the matter is, you must be intentional about them. No matter where you are now in your life, you have come a long way, and giving up on your dreams is a great injustice, not only to you but to humanity as well. The need for instant gratification as against delayed gratification compels us to put our dreams on hold.

When I think about my dreams, they feel unrealistic and way too big. However, I am constantly reminded that impossible is nothing. Sometimes, it takes baby steps, but one thing is certain, you will make progress. One of my BIG dreams is to either be interviewed by Oprah on Super Soul Sunday or give a talk to her audience. I know it will happen because I have decided to dream BIG!

Commit yourself to find the answer to your life’s biggest question, and then allow yourself to experience your highest self. You do not have to put your dreams on hold just because you need to provide for your family and put a roof over your head. I hope the points I have made so far will help you commit to your dreams and make them a reality.

I honestly believe having a meaningful dream is one of the most powerful forces for happiness and healing in the world, and it is my mission to help as many people as possible get immersed in dreaming again. Many will say, “That’s not the way it’s supposed to be”, but that’s how you know you’re on the right path.

We should embrace this Martha Graham quote:

“There is a vitality, a life force, energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of the time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You must keep yourself open and aware to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open.”

Do you know that fears can be passed down through generations? We must find ways to be at home with things that scare us. Fear does not serve you; it is nothing more than a fog cast by your logical brain to protect you.

Also, the world does not owe you anything, so stop feeling sorry for yourself. No matter what your circumstances are, instead of being stuck in despair, dig deep, and find out what makes you come alive. I am determined to create a life and business that are MINE. It is so empowering to permit yourself to consider doing what you want for a living.

For over a decade, I have wanted to be an entrepreneur. But I needed a “practical” job. The problem was “practical” was wearing off my bones. I left my corporate job 7 months ago. It was a real struggle for me at first, but thanks to God, over time it is gotten easier. I believe I have “immense” talent and I am expressing myself in a way that is meaningful to me, But, if I had listened to all the people who doubted me, I would have been somewhere, doing something I dislike and feeling miserable.

Obstacles are inevitable in every person’s life. And although they are difficult to deal with, they allow for the much-needed growth and maturity for the journey ahead. Setbacks and disasters give you the resolve and vigor to organize yourself, get cleaned up, learn what you can, and take the next step.

Our minds are not naturally accustomed to thinking long-term, so taking this approach of thinking ahead into the future will be difficult. But, it is a necessary process in overcoming obstacles and enabling your dreams to unfold.
