As you roll out of this year, It’s so important to take a look at your life, see what works and what doesn’t, acknowledge your progress and the things that are holding you back, learn the lessons and set the right goals for the coming year.
You need to make some changes if you want to make exciting progress in 2021.

Strategy Number 1 – Bounce Away The Negative Thoughts
Next time you find yourself slipping freely into a pit of negativity, initiate a conversation about it instead of internalizing it. Bounce it off. It’s all a matter of perspective. In other words, we have the power to choose our response. This exercise is an opportunity to deal with your negative thoughts so you can dominate 2021 while choosing to make it a great year.
- What 5 lessons have your most nagging negative experiences taught you in 2020?
- What is one thing you can do differently the next time those negative thoughts come up to likely have a better outcome?
Strategy number 2 – Master Your Emotional Baggage
Conquering the toxic effects of emotional baggage is a process that takes time, effort and a lot of personal willpower. It takes time to conquer this baggage, but it takes understanding, too. Acknowledging and embracing is the first step toward healing.
- What one thing do you need to start doing to release your negative emotions?
- What one thing do you need to stop doing to let go of your negative emotions?
Strategy Number 3 – Get To Know And Accept Yourself
Do you tend to be too hard on yourself? You will enjoy greater happiness and a more rewarding life by being more accepting of yourself and enjoying yourself for the fine person that you really are. Instead of dwelling on the traits you feel negative about, it is crucial that you identify and reflect on your positive attributes. It’s time to put the old beat up tale (that you’re not good enough or competent enough) to rest once and for all.

- What one regular action will help you achieve those goals?
Strategy Number 4 – Learn How To Forgive Yourself And Others
Most people find it really hard to forgive themselves and move on with their lives. But forgiveness is a journey for yourself. So, do this work now so unforgiveness doesn’t control your next 12 months and beyond.
- What hurtful things have happened to you that you still carry around? Write them down.
- Who has hurt you, that you can’t forgive? Write down their names.
- What are you feeling? (e.g., afraid? lonely? worthless? angry? etc.) Write them down.
- Schedule time to have a sincere conversation with yourself and ask God to help you.
Remember to be as detailed as you’d like.
Fantastic work. Your desired behaviours will grow over time if you just keep showing up, placing check marks on your habits, and revising your strategy as you go along.
